ABOUT DENACS
Dinnovate Educational/Research Network and Consultancy Services (DENACS) is dedicated to bridging the pre- and in-service knowledge and capacity gap across various fields, starting with Global Health.
Our goal is to provide comprehensive training, research, and consultancy services to enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals in the healthcare sector.
At DENACS, we are committed to fostering excellence and innovation in global health through our expert-led training and consultancy services. We employ a One-Health multi-sectoral approach to galvanize support and resources to build strong institutions for private and government establishments.
HOW IT BEGAN
The seeds of DENACS were sown in 2010. With some free time as a student, Our CEO began tutoring nursery, primary, and secondary school pupils in science subjects, at a small fee. This experience spurred their passion for teaching and imparting knowledge. They would go on to found a Biomedical Quiz and Research Club in college, fostering a culture of scientific presentations, journal reviews, and quiz competitions for both college and secondary school students.
In 2020, amidst the global turmoil of the COVID-19 pandemic, a glaring gap between academic knowledge and industry realities became evident, not just in the health sector but across various fields. The limited practical applicability of academic learning in everyday activities was striking.
Recognizing the need for change, Our CEO and Directors launched an initiative to train healthcare professionals on biosafety and biosecurity principles. As DENACS progressed, we identified further gaps in quality management systems and began advocating for improved healthcare service delivery through its implementation. This journey revealed significant leadership and program management deficiencies in the healthcare sector.
They realized that existing in-service capacity development programs were insufficient to keep healthcare professionals updated with the latest medical science advancements. Many pursued personal development at their own pace, which posed a threat to consistent evidence-based healthcare service delivery.
Driven by these insights, they embarked on a mission to enlighten professionals about the necessity of pre-service and in-service capacity building. They recognized that universities alone could not equip students and professionals with all the knowledge required to excel in their careers. Thus, DENACS was born—a platform offering specifically tailored, need-based training and capacity building for organizations and professionals aiming for excellence in their fields.
Today, DENACS boasts of a diverse team of industry experts, professors, and erudite scholars who are dedicated to sharing their knowledge, skills, and expertise. They work relentlessly to provide effective learning opportunities, ensuring that our generation is well-equipped to meet the challenges of the future.
DENACS is evolving beyond capacity building to other areas like consultancy on Laboratory set-up, Quality management system implementation, Global health and health systems strengthening as well as monitoring and evaluation. We are equally venturing into designing, implementing and supporting genomic research in Nigeria and Africa at large.
